The World Cup qualifying brackets can get pretty tricky. Especially with all the different games being played throughout the world. Some people are asking if the United States Mens National Team still have a chance to make the World Cup for 2018 and the answer is yes.

Right now the United States sits in fourth place out of their group. Although the top three automatically advance the fourth place team has another shot at advancing.

This is how the latest bracket looks.

The fourth place team gets to play a two match playoff with another team. I’m pretty confident that we will see the USMNT in Russia for the next World Cup. If not, that will be pretty devastating for soccer in the US and also for the MLS.

In the 2014 World Cup qualifiers Mexico had a horrible qualifying record and finished in fourth place. They were able to win in the playoffs to get a spot.

These are the next games for the USA team. I could see good results from these games. The Mexico game away is going to a rough game to come away with a win but everything else I could see a draw or a win.
