Gameweek 26 started off slowly. Manchester United vs. Bournemouth ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite having many opportunities to score, the Red Devils could not get the ball to the back of the net. Throughout the game Ibrahimovic and Mings physically battled one another and both players should have been sent off for their antics.

The action finally picked up during the later games. Twenty four goals were scored after the Man United game on Saturday alone. That’s an impressive amount of goals for one day of the gameweek. Here are the final scores for the games played on Saturday, March 4, 2017:

Man United 1 : 1 Bournemouth

West Brom 0 : 2 Crystal Palace

Swansea City 3 : 2 Burnley

Watford 3 : 4 Southampton

Leicester City 3 : 1 Hull City

Stoke City 2 : 0 Middlesbrough

Liverpool 3 : 1 Arsenal

Southampton found the back of the net four times. Leicester City, Swansea City, Liverpool, Watford and Tottenham each in three goals a piece. That’s wild!

Here is a breakdown of this week’s top players:

Let me break it down for you with the top players for this week:

(G) Boric – 18.75 points
(D) Ward – 19.5 points
(D) Davies – 21.5 points
(D) Olsson- 24.25 points
(M) Sigurdsson – 22.5 points
(M) Sane – 23.5 points
(M) Mane – 24.5 points
(M) Tadic – 38.5 points
(F) Arnautovic – 31 points
(F) A. Gray- 28.5 points
(F) Kane – 29 points

Whelan from Stoke City was a sleeper this week, putting up 19.5 points. That was almost as many points as he put up for the first half of the season combined. Davies from Tottenham is another good sleeper right with Rose out with an injury.

Mahrez isn’t someone that I would consider a sleeper but he did have one of his best weeks this season with 22.5 points. It was about time he started to do some work.
