First, Arsene Wenger and now Alexis Sanchez. The main reasons the Gunners are in top four are rumored to be on their way out.

Arsenal will struggle without Wenger at the helm, much like Manchester United had struggled after Ferguson’s retirement. Maybe they will follow suit, and hire Moyes. Hopefully, they don’t make the same mistake.

Many fans place the majority of the blame on Wenger for Arsenal’s lack of titles, but there are plenty of others to blame. The owners of the team prefer to hold on to all the money that the football club generates. They should reinvest the money into acquiring new talent.

Wenger has been Arsenal’s manager since 1996. Throughout his time st Arsenal, he has put together quality teams despite the owner’s resistance to spend money acquiring players. There are few coaches have the ability to do this. While Arsenal may lack titles, Wenger has been able to keep Arsenal in the top four over the past few years. It would be a mistake to give into the fans and push him out.

Rumors indicating that Sanchez wants out are beginning to swirl. You can’t fault him for wanting to leave. He is probably tired of doing majority of the work on the pitch. So far Sanchez has 17 goals in the EPL and another three in Champions League. He is one of the top forwards in the EPL this season and any team would take him.

If Sanchez goes, Arsenal is left to depend on Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck. Welbeck has been a disappointment since leaving Manchester United and Giroud is too busy checking himself out.

Without Sanchez and Wenger Arsenal will fall. If they both go, it will only be a matter of time before others join the exodus. Maybe Mesut Özil will be next.
